Cookies are small text files that are sent from the website visited by the user on the user's device (usually to the browser), where they are stored so that they can recognize the device at the next visit. In fact, at each subsequent visit, cookies are sent from the user's device to the website.
However, cookies can be installed not only by the same operator of the website visited by the user (first-party cookies), but also by a different website that installs cookies through the first site (third-party cookies) and which is able to recognize them.
This occurs because on the visited website there may be present elements (images, maps, sounds, links to web pages of other domains, etc) that reside on servers other than that of the visited website. Pursuant to the provisions of the Provision of the Privacy Guarantor of 8 May 2014 "Identification of the simplified procedures for the disclosure and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies" (hereinafter, "Provision"), for cookies installed by third parties, the obligations of disclosure and, if the requisites are met, of consent are borne by the third parties; the website owner, as a technical intermediary between third parties and users, is required to include updated links to the information and consent forms of third parties in the extended information document.
Based on their purpose, cookies are made up in technical cookies and profiling cookies.
Technical cookies
Technical cookies are installed for the sole purpose of "transmitting a communication over an electronic communication network, or as strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (see Article 122, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree 196/2003 - the so-called Privacy Code - as amended by Legislative Decree 69/2012). They are usually used to allow efficient navigation between website pages, in order to store user preferences, to store information on specific user configurations, to authenticate users, etc. Technical cookies can be divided into navigation cookies, used in order to record data useful for normal browsing and use of the website on the user's computer (allowing, for example, to remember the preferred size of the page in a list) and functional cookies, which allow the website to remember the choices made by the user in order to optimize the functionality (for example, functional cookies allow the website to remember the specific settings of a user, such as country selection and, if set, the permanent access status). Some of these cookies (called essential or strictly necessary) enable functions without which it would not be possible to perform some operations. Pursuant to the aforementioned Article 122, paragraph 1, Privacy Code, the use of technical cookies does not require users' consent.
Technical cookies are assimilated (and, therefore, as specified in the Measure, for the installation, user consent is not required) into so-called analytics cookies, if used by the site operator for the purpose of optimization of the same to collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the website itself.
Profiling cookies
These cookies are used to track the user's navigation, analyse his/her behaviour for marketing purposes, and create profiles on his/her tastes, habits, choices, etc. in order to convey targeted advertising messages in relation to the user's interests and in line with the preferences from these manifested in online browsing. These cookies can be installed on the user's terminal only if the user has given its consent with the methods indicated in the Measure. Based on their duration, cookies are defined as persistent cookies, which remain stored until their expiration, on the user's device, unless removal is carried out by the latter, and session cookies, which are not stored permanently on the device of the user and disappear when the browser is closed.
The cookies used on our site:
Technical cookies
This site uses technical cookies (functional and navigational cookies), installed by the site in order to monitor the operation of the site and allow efficient navigation on the aforementioned website.
Analytics cookies
This website also uses analytics cookies in order to statistically analyse accesses or visits to the site itself and allow the owner to improve its structure, navigation logics and contents. These cookies collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they visit the website without being able to identify the individual user.
Specifically, the website uses components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). In this case, they are "third-party" cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host website (performance cookies). Google Analytics uses "cookies" to collect and analyse anonymous information on the user behaviour of the websites (including the user's IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it for the purpose of preparing reports on the activities on the websites themselves. The site does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) the Google analysis tool to monitor or collect personal identification information. Each user can choose to selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing on his/her browser the opt-out component provided by Google itself. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the link below:

Management/deactivation of cookies from the browser
Please note that it is also possible to manage/deactivate cookies using the settings of your browser. The setting can be defined specifically for different websites and web applications. In addition, the best browsers allow you to define different settings.
If you use any other browser, look in the "settings" window for how to manage cookies.
